Route

Huts, cols & altitudes

A loop of the Queyras regional park from Ceillac: over the Col des Estronques to Saint-Véran, the highest permanently inhabited village in France, then the Col de Chamoussière (the loop's high point) to the Refuge Agnel under the Italian border, down to Ristolas and Abriès, across to the Fonts de Cervières and the Refuge de Furfande, and back over the Col de Bramousse to Ceillac. Weather risk is afternoon thunderstorms, snow on the high cols early in the season, and strong wind on the border ridges.
